Description: 7000-foot elevation. 68 campsites on Buckeye Creek, plus a group area which can accomodate up to 30 people.Interpretive programs are provided at Robinson Creek Campground, four miles away. Hiking along Buckeye Creek into the nearby Hoover Wilderness. Hiking on Eagle Creek to the flanks of Eagle Mountain.

Buckeye hot spring (140 degrees F) is just east of the campground. The spring comes out above the creek, over a rock overhang, which creates a cave-like area in the pool. Another small spring is upstream. This is a very popular spring year round.


Location: From Bridgeport, drive approximately 16 miles north and west on US 395, then 3 miles south on Little Walker Road (Forest Road 066).
