Description: 13 campsites along a small mountain stream, set in a glen-like grove of large Douglas fir trees. Most sites are shaded, with a few sunny spots. Hiking & horse riding on the Chemise Trail and in the Chemise Mountain Primitive Area.

Shelter Cove and the Pacific Ocean are about 15 minutes from the site. Surfing, boat ramps, and fishing are available here.


Location: From US 101 exit for Redway or Garberville, follow signs to Shelter Cove and the King Range NCA. Once in Redway, take Shelter Cove Road 22 miles to Chemise Mountain Road. South on Chemise Mountain Road for 1.7 miles.
