Description: 9 campsites on a ridgetop covered with a forest of madrone and tan-oaks. Surfing is good at the Shelter Cover beach, about 30 minutes west.
Location: From US 101, take Garberville or Redway exit. In Redway, turn onto Shelter Cove road and go west for 22.5 miles to King Peak Road. Turn right and go 6.2 miles.
