Description: 4000-foot elevation. 18 campsites on the edge of the Palm Desert and the Santa Rosa Wilderness. Keep your eye out for the resident bighorn sheep herd. Hiking on the Cactus Spring Trail.
Location: From Idyllwild, take CA 243 south, then take the left fork of CA 74 towards Lake Hemet southeast through the Santa Rosa Indian Reservation.
