Description: Colorado River State Park is actually five sites along the Colorado River as it flows through the Grand Junction area. Camping at Island Acres and Fruita. Fruita also has group camping. Day use activities including swimming, picnicking, trails, fishing and boating for hand propelled or electric powered craft. There are 10 river miles between Corn Lake and Connected Lakes and another 10 miles of floatable river between Connected Lakes & Fruita. Group picnic facilities are available and may be reserved by contacting the park. A trail system winds through stands of tall trees and along the banks of this famous and magnificent western river.

Location: Island Acres: I-70 to Exit 47, five miles east of Palisade.
Fruita: I-70 to Exit 19 at Fruita. South on HWY 340 for 1/4 mile.
Connected Lakes: Southwest portion of Grand Junction; travel northwest on Dike Road from Broadway
Corn Lake: 32 Road, south of D Road at the Colorado River
Wildlife Area: On D Road at 30 1/4 Road
