Description: 6600-foot elevation. 1 campsite. In the summer, there is hiking on the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, which crosses the southern flanks of Mount Ashland. In the winter, there is nordic skiing to the Grouse Gap shelter or downhill skiing at Mount Ashland Ski Area. Spectacular views of the Rogue Valley and the Oregon Cascades to the north and Mount Shasta, Shasta Valley and the Marble Mountain Wilderness to the south. The Siskiyou Crest is well known for its wildflowers, butterflies and bird watching.

Location: From Ashland, go 9 miles south on I-5, take exit 5, and go west about 10 miles on County Road 1151 (Ashland Ski Road).
