Description: 4600-foot elevation. 19 campsites, including 2 tent-only sites, on Fish Lake. Swimming, boating, and fishing for brook trout in the lake. A picnic shelter can be reserved for groups. An easy trail for hikers and mountain bikers goes 2.5 miles around Fish Lake, and another heads west to the Ashland Gap. The trail around the lake can be hiked to the junction with the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. No mountain bikes are permitted on the Pacific Crest trail.
In the winter, area trailheads lead to over 82 miles of snowmobile and cross-country ski trails. A Sno-Park permit is required from November - April, available at Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles and many sporting goods stores throughout the state.
