Description: 2000-foot elevation. 14 campsites on Applegate Reservoir. Fishing in the streams above the lakes, and also in the reservoir. Please see Oregon sportfishing regulations for restrictions on fishing the Applegate basin. Trailhead for a 7-mile trail, which circles around Collins Mountain, passing several old mines, an abandoned miner`s cabin, and a Sasquatch trap. The trail is open to mountain bikers, hikers, and horse riders.
Location: From Jacksonville, go 7 miles south on OR 238, then 19 miles south on Upper Applegate Road.
