Description: CAMPGROUND IS CLOSED1700-foot elevation. . Hiking on the historic Gin Lin Mining Trail, where you can view artifacts and other reminders from the Gold Rush days, when Chinese immigrants conducted large-scale mining here.
The Applegate River below the dam is open for trout fishing January 1 - March 31 and May 27 - December 31. The river is open for steelhead fishing (rainbow trout over 16 inches) from January 1 - March 31. Please see Oregon Sportfishing Regulations for additional restrictions on fishing in the Applegate and Applegate tributaries.
Location: From Jacksonville, go about 7 miles south on OR 238, 6 miles south on Upper Applegate Road, then 1 mile west on Forest Road 1095.
