Description: 1200-foot elevation. 15 campsites, including 3 double sites, on a terrace above Layng Creek. There is a large, accessible, picnic area, with two group areas, that encircles an open grassy field used for ball games and horseshoes.

A trail from the campground follows Layng Creek through a beautiful forest with a lush swordfern understory.


Location: From I-5 at Cottage Grove, take exit 174, then go 19 miles east on Row River Road (County Road 2400),and 2 miles northeast on Forest Road 17.
