Description: 4350-foot elevation. 28 campsites on Wickiup Reservoir. Fishing in the reservoir is excellent for enormous brown trout, as well as rainbow and brook trout, kokanee and coho salmon, whitefish, and chub. Fish cleaning stations are available by the lake. Late in the summer, irrigation draw-downs can lower the level of the reservoir by about half, but the fishing stays pretty good. The wetlands just north of the campground are a good place for bird watching.
Location: From Bend, go about 58 miles west and south on County Road 46 (Cascade Lakes Highway), then 2 miles east on Forest Road 44.
