Description: 4350-foot elevation. 19 campsites on North Twin Lake. Fishing for rainbow trout is good, and there is ice fishing in the winter, when access permits. Wading and swimming in the shallow end of the lake, with a little swimming beach. There is a dirt boat ramp for boat access. This lake was created by steam explosions, caused when hot volcanic magma hit groundwater.
Location: From Bend, go about 27 miles south on US 97, 11 miles west on County Road 43, 5 miles west on Forest Road 42, then less than 1/2 mile south on FR 4260.
