Description: 3000-foot elevation. 8 tent-only campsites near the Wild and Scenic McKenzie River. Fishing is open for catch and release trout, and for steelhead from April 22 - October 31 and is restricted to artificial flies and lures. Hiking on McKenzie River National Recreation Trail, which goes north to Clear Lake and south to the McKenzie Ranger Station. Carmen Reservoir, just south of the campground, is open for fishing and non-motorized boating year round. Just north of the campground are the lovely Koosah and Sahalie waterfalls.
Location: From Eugene, go 65 miles east on OR 126, and turn left onto the campground access road.
