Description: 4650-foot elevation. 49 campsites on Big Lake. Fishing for trout, boating, sailing, swimming, and waterskiing in the lake. Trailhead for the Patjens Lakes in the Mt. Washington Wilderness, and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes just east of the campground. An interesting bike trip or drive is west of the campground, up to the Sand Mountain Lookout Tower.

In the winter, numerous snowmobile and cross-country ski trails wind through the area from Ray Benson Sno Park.


Location: From Eugene, go 53 miles east on OR 126, 21 miles north on OR 126, then 4 miles south on Forest Road 2690 (OR 126 past McKenzie Bridge and FR 2690 are signed as Big Lake Road).
