Description: The Wild and Scenic Quartzville Creek runs 12 miles from the Willamette National Forest to the slow water at Green Peter Reservoir. Excellent fishing for trout, with no limit on brook trout. Facilities in the corridor include a campground and picnic area at Yellowbottom, with Dogwood picnic area about 3 miles to the west.

If gold fever strikes you all of a sudden, realize your dreams here, as the entire length is a designated recreational mining area. Bring your own pan and spend the day working the gravel in the quiet pools of the stream. Limited boating on the river; an excellent swimming hole is at Yellowbottom Campground.

Location: From Albany, go 35 miles southeast on US 20, then 11 - 23 miles northeast of Sweet Home on Quartzville Road.
