Description: This meandering park includes nearly 3000 acres of the canyons around Camas Creek and the North Fork of John Day River. The canyon bottom is forested with ponderosa pines, Douglas firs, and western larch. The campground is on the bank of Camas Creek. Springtime brings colorful wildlflower displays. Fishing in the river for trout, steelhead, and salmon. In late summer, visitors enjoy picking mushrooms and berries in the forest. 27 primitive campsites.
