Description: The Umpqua River Lighthouse, a 65-foot tower with a distinctive red & white lens, stands above Winchester Bay, where the Umpgua River flows into the sea. Summers, you can take one of the daily tours of the lighthouse. The picnic area and campground are located on the shore of Lake Marie, a small freshwater lake with a sandy beach open to swimming, fishing, and non-motorized boating. Campground has 20 RV sites with full utility hookup, 42 tent sites, 2 yurts, and 2 one-room log cabins.

The park is smack in the middle of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Nearby on the dunes is fun for the off-road enthusiast, the hiker, the naturalist, and the unusual wildlife.
