Description: In this case, the name comes from the first letters of three railroad tycoons (Villard,Once a railroad station, this park has been reclaimed for campers, picnickers, and windsurfers. Campsite has 58 RV sites with electrical hookup and 17 tent sites. Rangers hold interpretive programs on summer weekends. For a piece of history, hike a section of the Historic Columbia River Highway from Viento to Starving Creek which hasn`t seen auto traffic since the last Edsel came through 50 years ago.
Location: From Hood River, go 10 miles west on I-84. Accessible to eastbound traffic only.
