Description: 15 campsites and 10 picnic units on lovely, large, Lake Koocanusa. Potable water and a swimming beach at McGillivray Campground.

Koocanusa Reservoir, formed by Libby Dam on the Kootenai River covers 46,500 acres and stretches about 90 miles over the US/Canadian border. Fishing for kokanee salmon, whitefish, rainbow trout, and brown trout. The Kootenai River below the Libby Dam is a blue ribbon fishery. Tours at Libby Dam, managed in partnership with the Army Corps of Engineers. Osprey often fish around the dam at sunset, and great numbers of bald eagles can be seen in the fall, hunting kokanee. The visitor center is 17 miles north of Libby.
