Description: 3400-foot elevation. 34 campsites on the Lochsa River. On September 15, 1805, Lewis and Clark passed through this area on their way to the Pacific. The Lochsa River is popular in the spring for white water sports. Chinook salmon, steelhead, cutthroat and bull trout and mountain whitefish. Catch and release rules apply to some of these species.
