Description: 12,500-acre area is managed as a major staging and migrating area for waterfowl and shorebirds. This is one of the world`s largest wetlands, and contains huge expanses of mudflats, which is important to the shorebirds. You may see eagles, falcons, avocets, gulls, white-faced ibis, egrets, plovers, sandpipers, pheasants, quails, mourning doves, curlews, and many more upland and wetland species.
Location: From I-15, exit onto 4000 North. Walk in from the South Marina at Willard State Park or continue west on 4000 North, which becomes gravel.
