Description: 5900 ft. 71,000 acre freshwater lake. 136 RV/tent camp sites and some tent-only sites. Includes a 1.25 mile sandy beach for swimming and sunbathing, and a group pavilion for large picnics. A fun annual event is the Mountain Man Rendezvous, a reenactment of early trapper gatherings. Bear Lake is known for its beautiful turquoise color which is caused by calcium carbonate crystals suspended in the water.
