Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Description: Elevation 6600 - 9100 ft. The air is exceptionally clear in Bryce Canyon, making the views all the more spectacular. Bryce Canyon is one of a number of natural ampitheaters carved from the Paunsaugunt Plateau. "Hoodoos," fantastically eroded and colorful formations, are the highlight of this park, and can be enjoyed while hiking, camping, or driving the scenic loop. A visitor center offers exhibits and additional information. Commercial lodging is available at Bryce Canyon Lodge, open during the height of the season.

Location: From north or south on U.S. 89, turn east on Utah 12 (seven miles south of Panguitch) and travel to the junction of UT 12 and 63. Turn south (right) on UT 63 and travel three miles to reach the park entrance. UT 12 continues east through the northern portion of the park.

Notes: Trailers are not allowed beyond Sunset Campground. No RV`s over 25 feet allowed at Paria View. A shuttle bus will be available soon, in order to alleviate the traffic problem in this extremely popular park.
