Description: 9000 feet elevation. 44 campsites on Hoop Lake. This off-the-beaten path area is a kind of recreationists paradise, with boating and fishing in Hoop Lake, more fishing in nearby Beaver Meadow Reservoir (just follow FR 078 to the end), and trails galore. There is a stock loading ramp and corral at the Hoop Lake trailhead, and access to the High Uintas Wilderness. Other area trails are unrestricted and meander east, west, and north into BLM and state lands. For those who wish to enjoy more aesthetic endeavors, there is plenty of sightseeing and wildlife watching for the numerous birds, elk, deer, moose, and beaver who frequent the area.

Location: From Mountain View, WY go 35 miles southeast on WY 414, Forest Road 078, and FR 079.
