Description: 3200-foot elevation. 50 campsites on Timothy Lake. Fishing and boating in the lake. 10 mph speed limit for motorized boats. A hiking trail circles the lake, and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes by the east shore of the lake, leading north to Little Crater Lake Geological Area.

In the winter, there are miles of ungroomed snow-covered roads and trails. Shellrock Creek and High Rock, off Forest Road 57, are also available to cross-country skiers and snowmobilers who can reach entry points.


Location: From Sandy, go 66.5 miles east on US 26, 9 miles south on Skyline Road (Forest Road 42), then about 2 miles west on FR 57.
