Description: 4600-foot elevation. 6 tent-only sites in a quiet, forested campground. This campground only sees high use during big game hunting seasons. Hunting for pheasant, deer, elk, and bear. Trailhead for the Elkhorn Crest National Recreation Trail is at the end of Forest Road 6510. A spur trail to the recreation trail is at the end of FR 6530. The road to the Marble Pass trailhead required 4WD or high clearance vehicle.
Location: From Baker City, go 28 miles southwest on OR 7, County Road 656, Forest Road 6550 and FR 6530.
