Description: 6400-foot elevation. 30 campsites and a group picnic area on the river. Site can accomodate up to 150 people/25 veicles for day use picnicking, or 40 people tent camping overnight. Fishing and float tubing in the Big Wood River. Self-guided nature trail leads to a small cave and a beaver pond. Trails in Northfork Canyon lead to the Amber Lakes and over the Boulder Mountains. Ampitheater is available for group events or for ranger programs. Campground setting is heavily forested and divided by the Big Wood River. Hiking and mountain biking on the nearby Harriman Trail.
