Description: 6,300` elevation. 10 camping units located in Ponderosa and oak trees. Nice large area for groups. Watch for antelope on Hwy 78 in the Mule Creek area in New Mexico east of the campground. Nearby Coronado Trail Scenic Byway makes for an interesting day trip.
The Apache is noted for its trout streams and high-elevation lakes and meadows. Wildlife viewing and hunting for Antelope, Black Bear, Turkey, Mule Deer and Trophy Elk. Scenic driving on the White Mtn and Coronado Trail Byways, and the dramatic Mogollon Rim. Hiking access to Blue Range Wilderness and Blue Ridge Recreation Trail.
