Description: 7546 total acres, this wilderness protects the wild river, Deep Creek, a tributary of the Virgin River. Mountain streams trickle down to the North Fork of the Virgin River, carving fantastic shapes into the white slickrock and red sandstone, then nourishing luscious hanging gardens on the cliff walls before joining the waters of the North Fork Virgin. The Narrows along the North Fork is a popular hike, but hikers can find more solitude in these upper reaches.
Location: Access from The Zion Canyon Narrows Trail, within the park, or from BLM roads. Many of the roads approach the wilderness but not all provide access. Consult current maps or contact the BLM for more information.
