Description: 8,700-foot elevation. Nearly 2,200 acres of property broken into 3 separate units open to the public. Hunting for waterfowl, small game. Fishing for coldwater sport fish; excellent fishing for one of the purest strains of native Colorado cutthroat trout. In this beautiful canyon Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, deer, sage grouse, antelope, elk, waterfowl, cottontail, mountain lion, and other nongame species may be seen and most hunted.

Brown`s Park Wildlife Areas include Beaver Creek(477 acres), Cold Spring Unit(1104 acres), and Wiggins Unit(530 acres). In addition, several properties are leased on a short term basis which provides public access to thousands of acres of public land which otherwise would be blocked from public use. As early as 1826, trappers and furtraders met here to trade, drink and swap stories at the famous annual "Brown`s Hole" Rendevous. Browns Park provides excellent habitat for sage-grouse.

Location: From Maybell take State Highway 318 northwest to County Road 10, then west to Beaver Creek Unit, near Utah border. Located adjacent to the north & west end of Brown`s Park National Wildlife Refuge.
