Description: 4150-foot elevation. 6(1 accessible site) campsites are on the northwest side of Upper Klamath Lake. A primitive boat ramp offers access to the lake for canoes and car-top boats. Upper Klamath Lake is an excellent place for viewing a wide variety of waterfowl, such as white pelicans, great blue herons, and sandhill cranes. Fishing is fantastic for trophy-sized rainbow trout. Hunting for ducks and other waterfowl in season. Scenic driving along the lake. Nearest hiking trail is to the west at Varney Creek Trailhead. Trail leads into Mountain Lakes Wilderness. Hiking or horse riding on the trails.
