Description: 2200-foot elevation. Group campsite holding 45 people is on the Breitenbush River. Tent camping. Group fire ring. Popular base camp for river runners. Rafting and kayaking. Fishing in the river for trout, with no limit on brook trout. The trailhead for hiking the South Bretenbush Gorge National Recreation Trail is three miles east. Other hiking and mountain biking trails in the area. The Breitenbush Hot Springs are near the trailhead, but are not recommended for soaking, being a scalding 198F. scenic driving on Forest Road 46, a scenic byway.
