Description: 5200-foot elevation. 10 campsites on Timpanogas Lake in a stand of fir in the Oregon Cascades National Recreation Area. Hiking the trails in the undeveloped recreation area is popular in the summer, has over 20 miles of hiking/horse riding trails with spectacular mountain views. Snowmobiling is popular in the winter, although many cross-country skiers are beginning to use the area. Fishing in the lake, which is the headwaters for the Middle Fork Willamette, for cutthroat and brook trout. Canoeing in the lake is permitted, but no motorized boats. Swimming is possible. Scenic driving and picnicking.

Location: From Oakridge, go 2 miles east on OR 58, 0.5 miles on Kitson Springs Road. Continue on Kitson Springs Road for 0.5 miles, 32 miles south on Forest Road 21, and 10 miles east on FR 2154 (FR 21 & FR 2154 are called Diamond Drive).   Latitude: 43.4101162563   Longitude: -122.113801452
