Description: Elevation 6900-foot elevation. 28 campsites on the Wise River. Nearby attractions include Crystal Creek rockhound area, where you can dig for crystals and amethysts; Coolidge ghost town, where quantities of silver were produced at the turn of the 20th century; and Grand Vista, where you can admire the valley, watered by the Wise River and rimmed with the Pioneer Mountains. This area is scattered with historic mines, but be careful not to trespass onto private lands while exploring area history.
Location: From Dillon, go 3 miles south on I-15, exit onto MT 278, west 22 miles, 16 miles north on the Pioneer Scenic Byway (Forest Road 73)and .25 mile on FR 2406.
