Description: Elevation 6900-foot elevation. 24 campsites at the start of a great adventure on the Pioneer Scenic Byway. You could spend the day digging crystals and amethysts at Crystal Creek rockhound area. You could visit Coolidge ghost town, where quantities of silver were produced at the turn of the 20th century. You could hike the many area trails, starting with the Grasshopper National Recreation Trail. You could go mountain biking over at the Maverick Mountain ski area. And when you`re done? Go soak in 118º Elkhorn hot springs!
Location: From Dillon, go 3 miles south on I-15, then exit onto MT 278, go west 22 miles, then 13 miles north on the Pioneer Scenic Byway (Forest Road 73).
