Description: 7 campsites high up in the open pines. Wildlife in the area is abundant, particularly upland birds, mule and white-tailed deer, antelope, and turkey. A number of undeveloped roads through the forest can be explored on ATVs or mountain bikes. Capitol Rock, a national natural landmark, is a massive white limestone uplift that resembles the capitol building in DC. Wickham Gulch picnic area is on the way to the campground from Camp Cook, and is a lovely day use area with 3 picnic tables.

Location: From Camp Cook SD, go west 3 miles on SD-20, then 11 miles northwest on Forest Road 777.
