Description: 7600-foot elevation. 9 camping sites near Fairy Lake, in the Bridger Mountains. Fish in the lake (mo motor boats), watch moose early in the morning, or scale the short but steep trail up Sacajawea Peak (9666 feet) to get a panoramic view of Bozeman, the surrounding grasslands, and the distant mountains.
Location: From Bozeman, take MT-86 (Rouse Avenue) north 22.5 miles, then 5 miles west on Fairy Lake Road (steep, gravel).
