Description: 3160-foot elevation. 7 boat-in campsites on the east side of Holter Reservoir adjacent to the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness. Just to the north is a large day use area with wilderness access, boat docks, potable water, a toilet, trash cans, and commercial boat tours. A scenic river trail heads north and south from the campground, ultimately heading into the wilderness in either direction. Fishing for perch and trout. Resident species which you might see around the lake or in the wilderness include eagles, osprey, pelicans, blue herons, otters, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats.

Location: Located on I-15 north from Helena to the Gates of the Mountains or Wolf Creek exits. Boat access only from the Gates of the Mountains Boat Club or the Holter Dam area.
