Description: 4 campsites near the South Fork of the Teton River. Some fishing for brook, rainbow, and cutthroat, though all populations are low. Go 1 mile west to the end of the road to the South Fork trailhead, and hike in the short distance to pristine Our Lake, near the border of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Our Lake is a fantastic place to see mountain goats year round, as well as the ever-entertaining pika and yellow-bellied marmot. Never approach or feed wildlife.
Location: From Choteau, go 6 miles north on US 89, 16 miles west on County Road 144 (Teton Canyon Road), then south 9 miles on Forest Road 109.

Notes: The Our Lake trail is open to cross-country skiers or hikers only. No camping within 1000 feet of the lakeshore at Our Lake. Please pack out all your trash.
Food & Trash Storage in Grizzly Bear Country
To provide for public safety and protection of the grizzly bear, a
threatened species, please adhere to the regulations as summarized
below:
- Human food and beverages, horse feeds, dog food, etc. either
in possession or left unattended must be kept unavailable to
grizzly bears unless being consumed, prepared for consumption, or
transported.
- Fish and wildlife carcasses must be kept unavailable to
grizzly bears and at least 100 yards from any tent or sleeping
area, trailhead, or recreation site, unless being eaten, prepared
for eating, or transported.
- Fish and wildlife carcasses must be kept unavailable to
grizzly bears except at locations more than 1/2 mile from
campsites, trailheads, and recreation areas.
- When departing the area, all food and refuse is removed from
any bear resistant containers left in the area.
Items are considered unavailable if they are:
- stored in a closed, bear resistant container,
- enclosed within a vehicle constructed of solid, nonpliable
material, or
- suspended at least 10 feet clear of the ground at all points
and 4 feet horizontally from any supporting tree or pole
