The Needles Overlook offers a panoramic view of the Needles District of the park as well as of Indian Creek Wilderness Study Area. The Anticline overlook is sited on a narrow promontory and from there you may see the Colorado River, Kane Canyon, Dead Horse Point State Park, and Hurrah Pass. Two campgrounds are along this road, and dispersed camping is permitted off the backway.
