Description: 6000` elevation. There is a marker here memorializing the flight the Nez Perce to avoid being rounded up by the US Army and moved. This campground has 10 sites, and a trailhead for the trail that climbs along Dead Indian Creek, though the Absaroka Wilderness across Dead Indian Meadows, and up to the summit of Dead Indian Peak. Adjacent corrals. Activities include hiking, fishing, horse riding, wildlife viewing, and scenic driving.
