Description: This wilderness covers 36 square miles of forests and river, including the Platte River, which is a Blue Ribbon Fishing area. The Douglas Creek Trail follows the creek through a wide canyon. North Gate Canyon is a popular whitewater rafting area.

Location: There are two trailheads into the wilderness: the Douglas Creek Trail from the Pike Pole Campground, and the Platte River Trail from the Six Mile Gap Campground.   Latitude: 41.088583   Longitude: -106.380025
