Description: 8700ft elevation. 12 camp sites located near an old Civilian Conservation Corps camp on a hillside overlooking the Upper Platte River Valley. There are scenic views of the Snowy Range. There is a short hike to McClure Overlook, which has spectacular views. Activities include scenic viewing, scenic driving to the Continental Divide, hunting in season, wildlife viewing, hiking in Huston Park Wilderness, and fishing the creek and river. A group picnic site(holds 200 people) can be reserved for day-use only.
Location: From Encampment, take WY 70 west 5.8 miles to Hog Park Reservoir sign (Forest Route 550). Turn left onto Rt. 550 and go 0.1 miles, then turn right at sign and go 0.2 miles. Latitude: 41.1771869 Longitude: -106.9000453
