Description: This enormous 20,000-acre wetland is a mecca for waterfowl and birders alike. The latter can view the former in the form of grebes, herons, sandpipers, ducks, geese, and gulls. About 15,000 ducks are born here each year, with the most common species being cinnamon teal, gadwall, mallard, pintail and northern shoveler. Hikers can access the dike roads all year round, and the vehicle loop also stays open.

Location: Exit I-15 at Roy, then head west on 5500 South and 5600 South all the way south through Hooper. Then go north to the entrance and headquarters.
