From Phoenix go north on I-17 to Exit#306. Go east on Stoneman Lake Road(FR 213) 6.5 miles to FR 229,turn right go 4.5 miles on #229 to FR 230. Veer right continue on #229 0.25 mile to intersection of #229 and FR#620. Veer right watching for the cabin gate and small sign on the left side of the road at the base of the mountain. From Flagstaff take Old Hwy 66 west out of town to Woody Mountain Road(FR 231), turn left and stay on FR 231 for 21 miles to FR 231A, continue on FR 231 for another 0.8 mile to FR 231E(Fernow Draw sign). Turn right and go 0.25 mile. Harquahala Mtn Back Country Byway, Southwest region 80 miles west of Phoenix or 40 miles southwest of Wickenburg. From Phoenix, take I-10 west to the Salome Road Exit (50 miles). Turn right and follow for 9.6 miles to Eagle Eye Road. Turn right and go 8.5 miles to a dirt road which heads north towards the summit. Or travel north on I-17 to the Carefree Highway exit, turn left on H-74, heading west past Lake Pleasant, to H-60. Turn right and head northwest to Wickenburg. From Wickenburg, continue on H-60 (which veers west), to Aguila. Turn right, heading south, on Eagle Eye Road 18.5 miles to the dirt road heading 10.5 miles north climbing the summit. Hayfield Draw OHV Day Use, Prescott National Forest, Northwest region

From Flagstaff on I-40 take the exit for Hwy 180(Fort Valley Road)leading to the Grand Canyon. Travel 21 miles north on Hwy 180 to Forest Road 514, turn right and go 1 mile to FR 514B.
